From September 5th to 15th, Santander will be a stop on Spain’s largest traveling food event: The Champions Burger. This nomadic event tours over 15 cities in search of Spain’s Best Gourmet Burger 2024. For ten days, Campa de la Magdalena will host top burger vendors from across the country competing for the coveted title.
The Champions Burger is not just a culinary competition; it’s a celebration of flavor, creativity, and passion. Hundreds of food trucks will showcase their best creations in a fierce contest where the judges will assess taste, ingredient originality, and the chefs’ enthusiasm.
A Unique and Unforgettable Atmosphere
This event offers a complete experience: the combination of fire, smoke, and the irresistible aroma of grilled meat, along with live music and lights, creates a festive atmosphere that will delight attendees. Entry is free, and there is no limit on capacity, though arriving early is recommended to avoid lines.

If you prefer to leave your car at the private parking lot of Hotel Antoyana and travel by public transport, you can take line number 3 of Santander’s municipal bus, which connects Hotel Antoyana with the Magdalena Peninsula where the event takes place. This line will take you directly to Campa de la Magdalena, which is also known for hosting various events, under the shade of the Royal Palace of Magdalena. It’s an excellent option to enjoy the event without worrying about parking in the city center.
For those who prefer to drive, parking will be available at Playa del Camello, though it is advisable to arrive early to secure a spot. Additionally, the event is accessible to people with reduced mobility and features rest areas for attendees to relax while enjoying the food.
If it rains, don’t worry! The event will continue, so it’s advisable to dress appropriately. Pets are welcome, and re-entry to the event is allowed if you need to leave and return later.

The Champions Burger will also offer the chance to participate in the popular vote to choose the best burger of the event. Each attendee will receive a QR code to scan and vote for their favorite burger, and voters will enter a draw to win prizes, including a Ford Ranger!
