From August 10 to September 8, 2024, the Campos de Sport del Sardinero will host the XVII Intercultural Festival of Nations in Santander. This iconic event celebrates cultural diversity and artistic talent, offering a vibrant program that includes over 70 live performances, 500 artists on stage, and 250 hours of music.

An Unforgettable Cultural Experience

The Intercultural Festival of Nations 2024 has become a benchmark for the Santander summer, featuring a wide array of music, dance, gastronomy, and family-friendly activities. Over 30 days, you can enjoy tributes to major international bands, performances by local groups, and themed days, such as the one dedicated to Eurovision, featuring Jorge González, finalist of Benidorm Fest.

Festival Highlights: Talent Show Excelencia Santander

One of the major highlights of this edition is the Talent Show Excelencia Santander, which will take place from September 2 to 7. This talent competition collaborates with the TV program Got Talent Spain and offers winners unique opportunities such as artistic scholarships, cash prizes, and the chance to participate directly in Got Talent without going through preliminary selections.

The Talent Show will be divided into two categories: Aspirantes (Aspirants) and Stars. Prizes include 1,000 euros and a direct pass to Got Talent for the winner of the Aspirantes category, a scholarship valued at 1,500 euros for the second-place winner, and a weekend stay at a hotel with all expenses paid for the third place. In the Stars category, the prize will be 5,000 euros. The final of the competition, presented by Santi Martino, will have a symbolic entry fee of 5 euros.

International Gastronomy and Artisan Markets

The Intercultural Festival of Nations is not only a celebration of music and art but also of gastronomy. This year, the culinary offerings are expanded with the addition of new countries such as Paraguay, South Korea, and Turkey. You can enjoy a wide variety of dishes at the food stalls representing the cuisines of 50 nations. The guest country for this edition is the Dominican Republic, offering a unique showcase of its rich culinary culture.

Commitment to Sustainability

The festival reinforces its commitment to the environment by being an ecofriendly event. This year, environmental awareness will be promoted through the sale of reusable cups that last up to ten years. These cups, available in seven different models, will be refillable throughout the festival, contributing to waste reduction.

Charitable Aspect: Alberto Pico Awards

The Intercultural Festival of Nations also maintains its charitable character with the Alberto Pico Awards, which will be held on September 2 at the Palacio de la Magdalena. These awards recognize the dedication, career, and professionalism of various Cantabrians who have excelled in their social commitment.

Additionally, the festival continues to support sociocultural integration with the participation of immigrant associations from Santander and social action NGOs. This year, for the first time, the Federation of Associations of Deaf People of Cantabria (FESCAN) joins the event, highlighting the festival’s inclusive approach.
